Woodland Retreats offers a peaceful setting for companies looking to bring their team together without distractions.
While we are venue-only and do not provide office equipment, our properties are ideal for:
- Leadership retreats
- Strategy sessions
- Team-building weekends
- Small company meetings
Private trails, open green space, indoor and outdoor gathering areas, and comfortable accommodations allow teams to reset, connect, and focus.
We’re happy to make personal introductions to trusted local catering and private chef partners if desired.
- What types of corporate retreats are a good fit for Woodland Retreats?
- Woodland Retreats is ideal for leadership retreats, executive offsites, strategic planning sessions,team development gatherings, nonprofit retreats, and professional workshops. Our properties are designed for organizations seeking privacy, inspiration, and a distraction-free environment in a natural setting.
- How many people can your properties accommodate?
Each property accommodates 27+ overnight guests. Daytime retreat capacity varies by layout and property:
- Hocking Manor: up to approximately 100 guests
- Timberframe Lodge: up to approximately 125 guests
Final guest counts must be approved in advance.
- Do you provide meeting equipment or conference setup?
Woodland Retreats is a venue-only property. We do not provide:
- Audiovisual equipment
- Projectors or screens
- Microphones or speakers
- Whiteboards, flip charts, or office supplies
- Staging or conference furnishings
Clients are responsible for securing all meeting equipment. Upon request, we are happy to introduce trusted rental vendors familiar with our venues.
- What are the check-in and check-out times for corporate retreats?
Corporate retreats include extended access:
- Check-in: as early as 9:00 AM
- Check-out: by 12:00 PM (noon)
This allows ample time for setup, meetings, and a relaxed departure.
- Can we bring in our own vendors?
Yes. Clients may bring in their own caterers, facilitators, or service providers. All vendors must be pre-approved and provide proof of insurance naming Woodland Retreats, LLC as Additional Insured. We also maintain a list of trusted vendors familiar with our properties and expectations.
- Is alcohol permitted during corporate retreats?
Alcohol is permitted if it complies with Ohio law and professional standards.
- Licensed bartenders are required for service
- No self-service alcohol
- Host reserves the right to limit or discontinue alcohol service if safety or professionalism is compromised
- Are team-building or wellness activities allowed?
Yes. Corporate-friendly activities such as wellness sessions, facilitated discussions, and low-impact team-building exercises are welcome. All instructors must provide appropriate certifications and liability insurance. Woodland Retreats does not provide facilitation but may introduce vetted partners.
- What amenities are included with our retreat?
Amenities vary by property but may include:
- Large gathering spaces
- Fully stocked kitchens
- Indoor and outdoor meeting areas
- Hot tubs
- Indoor heated saltwater pool (Hocking Manor)
- Private Lake and trails (Timberframe Lodge)
- Fire pits and scenic outdoor spaces
Specific amenities will be confirmed during booking.
- Can furniture be moved to accommodate our meeting layout?
To protect the property, only Woodland Retreats staff may move furniture or benches.
Approved furniture relocation services are available for an additional flat fee and must be requested in advance.
- Are add-on services available?
Optional add-ons may include:
- Furniture relocation
- Bench relocation
- Mid-stay cleaning
- Firewood bundles
- Private chef introductions
All add-ons must be requested in writing, approved, and paid at least 60 days prior to the event.
Availability is not guaranteed.
- What insurance is required?
Corporate retreat clients must provide Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence, naming Woodland Retreats, LLC as Additional Insured.
Certificates of Insurance are due at least 30 days prior to arrival.
- Are there quiet hours?
Yes. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. This ensures a peaceful environment for guests, neighbors, and wildlife.
- Is Woodland Retreats suitable for multi-day retreats?
Absolutely. Our properties are ideal for two- to four-night retreats, allowing teams to unplug, connect, and work collaboratively in a private, immersive setting.
- How far in advance should we book?
Corporate retreats are recommended to be booked 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak seasons (spring through fall). Midweek dates offer greater availability and flexibility
